Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday-Friday

Position Overview

The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic and operational leadership for clinical programs, ensuring high-quality, client-centered care. This role oversees clinical teams, drives program development and quality improvement, and supports staff through supervision, training, and mentorship. The Director ensures compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a safe, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee clinical program delivery to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care
  • Supervise and mentor licensed and associate-level clinicians in individual and group settings
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across clinical programming
  • Ensure residential programming is well-coordinated, staffed, and aligned with client needs
  • Conduct and oversee treatment team meetings to support coordinated care planning
  • Provide ongoing staff training on clinical practices, compliance, and cultural competency
  • Maintain compliance with licensure, accreditation, and payer requirements
  • Collaborate with utilization review teams to ensure appropriate level of care and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and referral sources regarding treatment progress
  • Represent and promote the organization's mission, vision, and values to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Active clinical license (LISW, LPCC, LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT)
  • Licensed to practice and provide clinical supervision in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in behavioral healthcare
  • Experience in Mental Health and/or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment preferred
