Institutional Sales & Relationship Manager

Job Description This role is primarily responsible for sales activities promoting the full breadth of U.S. Bancorp Asset Management (USBAM) capabilities to local government prospects and clients within the State of New York. The individual in this role will work closely with client service staff, marketing, and product teams to drive revenue growth. The position encompasses both relationship management and sales responsibilities, specifically focused on marketing the shares of a local government investment program in New York State. The incumbent will be responsible for acquiring new business, servicing existing accounts, and directly interfacing with the program’s Board of Directors and sponsoring associations. This individual will possess in-depth knowledge of the firm’s products and services and will cover a wide range of local government accounts throughout the State of New York. The role involves extensive travel across the state, including some overnight travel, and requires attendance at various industry conferences. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience in portfolio management, sales, marketing, or relationship management with institutional clients (Business to Business environment) Must be FINRA series 6 or 7, 63 licensed or complete 6 or 7, 63 testing within 90 days of start date Typically has 10 or more years of experience Preferred Skills/Experience Deep knowledge of the local government landscape in New York State Strong capital markets knowledge and experience In-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services Demonstrated strength in relationship management and business development/sales Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in managing customer relationships Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills Benefits Healthcare (medical, dental, vision) Basic term and optional term life insurance Short-term and long-term disability Pregnancy disability and parental leave 401(k) and employer-funded retirement plan Paid vacation (from two to five weeks depending on salary grade and tenure) Up to 11 paid holiday opportunities Adoption assistance Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 80 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law Review our full benefits available by employment status here.
