Senior Patient Scheduler

Description Under the direction of the Patient Access/Central Scheduling Coordinator & Patient Access/Scheduling Manager, provides training to existing and new hires in scheduling, verifies orders, schedules, registers, verifies insurance coverage and benefits, creates estimates, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due to the facility; Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers; and remains responsible for obtaining accurate patient information to ensure patient satisfaction; patient safety, and hospitals quality measures are met. Required Qualifications 3 years Central scheduling experience. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training: Medical terminology. Upon hire: CHAA Medical setting experience. Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience.
