Part-Time Outreach & Education Coordinator for Reef Center

This is a part-time position : Be part of the Ocean Rescue Alliance International team and part of the new Reef Discovery Center - Broward County’s new hub for reef restoration, education, and community engagement. You’ll design programs, lead outreach, and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards. Make a direct impact on coral reef restoration & help us grow our projects, programs, and partnerships at the new Reef Discovery Center and ORAI facility. Part-time salary range: $25,000-$35,000 based on experience. What You’ll Do

• Develop and lead STEM education programs for schools, camps & community groups
• Represent ORAI at community events & volunteer programs (~15 per year)
• Manage logistics for outreach events, workshops & tours
• Support marine science & reef restoration initiatives
• Serve as an ambassador for ocean conservation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Education, or related field
• 2–4 years experience in environmental education, outreach, or nonprofit programs
• Strong communication & teaching skills (all ages)
• Outgoing, community-minded, solutions-driven
• Familiarity with South Florida marine ecosystems
