Chief Actuary

Role Description Verist Inc. seeks Chief Actuary in New York, NY to set strategy for the long-term sustainability and profitability of the Managing General Underwriter (MGU). Requirements Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related quantitative field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: building pricing models for multiple commercial insurance lines including general liability, commercial auto, workers compensation, umbrella and commercial property for the US market. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policy. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Must have attained the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation. Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA).
