About the Role
Lonnie's Bar is looking for a reliable, fast-paced Brunch Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You'll be responsible for prepping and executing our brunch menu with consistency, speed, and attention to quality during high-volume weekend service.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down the line for brunch service, ensuring all stations are stocked and prepped before doors open
- Execute menu items to spec — eggs, griddle items, proteins, sides — with consistent speed and quality during peak rush
- Follow recipes and plating guides to maintain consistency across shifts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe station throughout service, following all food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate clearly with FOH and other BOH staff to manage ticket times and special requests
- Monitor inventory at your station and flag low stock to the kitchen manager
- Properly label, date, and store all food items per health code
- Assist with opening/closing side work as needed
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of line cook experience, ideally in a high-volume brunch or bar/restaurant setting
- Comfortable working a fast-paced station independently under pressure
- Understanding of food safety standards; food handler's certification a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player — brunch service depends on everyone hitting their marks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-50 lbs
Schedule
Weekends required, plus some weekday shifts as needed
