MEDICAL ASSISTANT PHLEBOTOMIST

Location: Titusville, FL Pay: $16–$17 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Setting: Outpatient | Adult Patients Specialties: Primary Care, Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease Position Overview Seeking a Medical Assistant with strong phlebotomy skills to support providers and adult patients in a fast‑paced outpatient clinic. This position combines hands‑on patient care with administrative support, including patient intake, blood draws, specimen preparation, clinical documentation and care coordination. What You’ll Do Obtain patient histories, vital signs and chief complaints Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws Label and prepare specimens for laboratory processing Administer injections and immunizations as directed and within scope Perform EKGs and point‑of‑care testing Collect blood, urine and swab specimens Assist providers during exams and procedures Document patient information and procedures in the EHR Process lab requisitions, track results and alert providers to abnormal findings Clean, stock and prepare exam rooms Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection‑control and specimen‑handling standards What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Strong phlebotomy and specimen‑handling experience BLS or CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it Medical Assistant certification preferred One or more years of outpatient Medical Assistant experience preferred Primary care, internal medicine or infectious disease experience preferred EHR proficiency and basic computer skills A reliable, detail‑oriented and patient‑focused approach Compensation & Benefits $16–$17 per hour Medical, dental and vision insurance after six months 401(k) with a 3% match after six months 104 hours of PTO, accruing at four hours every two weeks
