What You'll Do

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observation
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual motor integration, self-care, play skills, and functional independence
• Provide engaging, evidence-based occupational therapy services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental differences
• Collaborate with families, physicians, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to maximize each child's progress
• Educate parents and caregivers on strategies that support skill development outside of therapy sessions
• Complete timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and re-evaluations
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students, when applicable
• Maintain a safe, organized, and therapeutic treatment environment
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay current with best practices and continue growing professionally through continuing education and clinical collaboration

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Texas Occupational Therapist license
• Current CPR certification
• Experience working with children is preferred
• Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder is highly preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Passion for helping children achieve greater independence and improve quality of life
