About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP of Curriculum, a strategic education leader to oversee the development and execution of high-quality instructional materials and aligned non-summative assessments. The successful candidate will be responsible for building an integrated curriculum-assessment ecosystem, ensuring coherence across curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning, and driving product innovation. This role also involves leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance curriculum and assessment offerings, as well as representing the organization as a thought leader with clients, partners, and policymakers. Applicants for the SVP of Curriculum position at the company should have a Master's degree in education or a related field, with a preference for those holding advanced degrees. The role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and K-12 market trends, as well as a proven track record of thought leadership, strategic partnerships, and needs-based solution design. Extensive experience in an education-related organization, including at least 5 years at the senior management level in K-12 curriculum and related services, is essential. The ideal candidate will have direct leadership experience in the development and/or publishing of high-quality instructional materials in the K-12 education space, and a strong background in pedagogical expertise. The position demands a leader who can stay current on education regulations, trends, and the competitive landscape, and who is adept at interacting with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders on substantive issues.
