Accountant

Accountant (Contract)

Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid - 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Pay: $25-28/hour

Schedule: Standard business hours


We're partnering with a well-established organization seeking an Accountant to join their Accounting Operations team on a contract basis with potential for long-term extension. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team with strong training and the chance to gain experience in a large corporate accounting environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies
  
  
• Assist with month-end close activities and journal entries
  
  
• Support general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  
  
• Assist with audit requests and SOX compliance
  
  
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
  
  
• Intermediate Excel skills
  
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  
  
• Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, or Hyperion is a plus
  
  
• Corporate accounting experience preferred

This opportunity is looking to move quickly and offers strong training, exposure to a variety of accounting functions, and the potential for a long-term assignment.
