Substitute Food Service Helper 2026-2027

Job Requirements

Prospective employees must receive state and federal clearance based on a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check. Details are available from the district personnel office.

Must have ability to lift 40 lb. cases of meat, milk and canned food; lift & carry heavy pans of food in/out of oven & hot cabinet.

Must be able to lift, bend, push, walk and stand for extended periods of time.

Must be able to prepare and serve food in accordance with health & sanitation regulations. Experience in basic math skills.

Be able to operate standard kitchen equipment safely & efficiently.

Must be able to understand and follow oral and written directions.

Must be able to work cooperatively with others.

Must be able to maintain food service equipment and areas in a clean and sanitary condition.

Must have customer service experience and able to work with children of all ages.
