Facilities Maintenance Technician | 23/hr | 1st Shift | START ASAP!

The Facilities Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs building systems across warehouse, office, and residential spaces. This role handles a wide range of general maintenance tasks, responds to service requests from start to finish, and works directly with tenants and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, comfortable, and well-functioning facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance, including routine inspections and repairs across warehouse, office spaces, and apartment units.
• Diagnose and repair basic plumbing issues such as fixtures, leaks, and drains.
• Handle basic electrical work, including outlets, lighting, and minor wiring tasks in accordance with safety practices.
• Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting, including filter changes and minor adjustments to maintain system performance.
• Complete unit turns and support renovation activities, ensuring spaces are ready for occupancy in a timely manner.
• Provide customer-facing support and interact professionally with tenants and building occupants to address maintenance concerns.
• Manage service requests end-to-end, from initial assessment and troubleshooting through to resolution and follow-up.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, and painting work as needed to maintain and restore interior finishes.
• Support general facility upkeep, including cleaning and basic mechanical tasks, to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Document work performed and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders as required.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance across multiple facility types.
• Hands-on plumbing skills, including working with fixtures, addressing leaks, and clearing or repairing drains.
• Basic electrical skills, including working safely with outlets, lighting, and minor wiring tasks.
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting skills, including performing filter changes and identifying common issues.
• Experience with unit turns and renovation support in residential or mixed-use facilities.
• Strong customer-facing and tenant interaction skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to handle service requests end-to-end, from diagnosis to completion.
• Practical experience with troubleshooting building systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in facilities maintenance and repair tasks, including mechanical and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ability to perform painting, drywall repair, and carpentry tasks to maintain building interiors.
• Experience working as a maintenance technician or in a comparable facilities or building maintenance role.
• Capability to perform cleaning and general facility upkeep tasks as part of daily responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Carpentry experience, including framing, trim, or finish work.
• Drywall installation and repair experience.
• Interior and exterior painting experience.
• Willingness and availability to participate in on-call rotations for after-hours or emergency maintenance needs.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Ash, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
