Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Retail MFCS (Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service) Testing Lead with strong expertise in Retail Merchandising and end-to-end testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading testing activities across MFCS implementations/enhancements, ensuring functional quality, integration readiness, and successful business outcomes.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of retail merchandising processes, Oracle Retail MFCS modules, integration flows, and various testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for Oracle Retail MFCS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
• Define and own the overall test strategy, test plan, scope, estimates, timelines, and resource allocation .
• Lead functional, system integration, regression, end-to-end, and business acceptance testing activities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, functional consultants, developers, and integration teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
• Review business requirements and functional specifications and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Provide strong Retail Merchandising domain expertise , particularly across:
  • Item and product management
  • Merchandise hierarchy
  • Suppliers and locations
  • Purchase orders
  • Invoice Matching
  • Transfers
  • Inventory management
  • Pricing
  • Costing
  • Stock ledger
  • Sales and inventory processes
  • Merchandising transactions and adjustments
• Validate end-to-end business flows across MFCS and downstream/upstream systems.
• Coordinate testing of integrations between MFCS and other Oracle Retail applications , POS, ERP, warehouse, e-commerce, and third-party systems.
• Identify critical business scenarios and ensure appropriate test coverage.
• Lead defect management, triage, prioritization, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Work with technical teams to investigate integration, data, batch, and interface-related issues.
• Monitor test execution progress and provide regular status reports, metrics, risks, and issue escalations to stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate test data is available for functional and integration testing.
• Support UAT planning and execution and coordinate with business users.
• Mentor and guide the testing team and ensure adherence to testing standards and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation opportunities, and overall quality assurance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–12+ years of experience in software testing , preferably within the Retail domain.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail MFCS .
• Strong understanding of Retail Merchandising processes and business functions .
• Experience leading testing teams in large-scale Oracle Retail implementations or transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of MFCS functional flows, merchandising transactions, and integrations .
• Experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, and UAT .
• Good understanding of retail interfaces and data flows between MFCS and surrounding applications.
• Experience with defect management tools such as Jira, ALM, or equivalent .
• Strong experience in test planning, estimation, execution, reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with other Oracle Retail applications , such as:
  • Oracle Retail Merchandising ( ORMS) / MFCS
  • Oracle Retail Pricing Management (ORPM)/ RPCS
  • Oracle Retail sales Audit ReSA / SACS
  • Oracle Retail Invoice Matching (ReIM) / ORICS
• Knowledge of Oracle Retail integration architecture .
• Experience with API, web service, and batch/interface testing.
• SQL knowledge for backend validation and data reconciliation.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to Oracle Retail upgrades, cloud implementations, or migration projects.
