THE ROLE
A leading clean energy developer is seeking a Director, Structured Finance to lead complex energy project finance transactions and support continued growth. The Director will be responsible for structuring and executing transactions that raise capital - spanning tax equity, tax credit transfers, construction loans, and term loans. The role works closely with Structured Finance, Portfolio Finance, asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Originate, structure, and execute project finance transactions enabling the development, construction, and operations of solar, battery storage, and other projects.
Own the financing model; create internal approval materials; and evaluate transaction risks.
Coordinate responses to due diligence on individual and portfolio financings, working closely with development, engineering, and legal teams to address investor inquiries in a timely and thorough manner.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners across the energy sector.
Advise on the negotiation of critical project agreements including equipment supply agreements, PPAs, interconnection agreements, EPC contracts, and O&M agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS

8 years of professional experience in energy project financing, including closing tax equity transactions; background at a developer, operating company, private equity firm, management consulting firm, or bank preferred.
Deep understanding of tax equity structures and partnership tax principles, debt facilities, and equity sale transactions.
Significant experience building, maintaining, auditing, and editing Excel-based project finance models.
Experience reviewing and negotiating legal documents related to tax equity and debt transactions.
