Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide coverage across both Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical services. This role requires an adaptable RN who is comfortable working across both clinical settings, managing varying patient acuity, and floating between departments based on facility needs.

Job Type: Local & Travel Contract 13 Weeks

Compensation: $50 $55 per hour Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM6:00 AM

The ideal candidate will have relevant Emergency Department and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience, strong clinical judgment, and the flexibility to work across both areas in a dynamic hospital environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, competent nursing care within both Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical settings.
• Float between Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas as required.
• Assess patients, develop and implement appropriate plans of care, and monitor patient responses.
• Manage patient needs in an environment with an approximate 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for clinical documentation, communication, and patient-care workflows.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Adapt nursing care to changing patient acuity, clinical conditions, and unit needs.
• Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse license appropriate for the assignment.
• Relevant Emergency Department and/or Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Prior travel assignment experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Ability and willingness to float between Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.

Additional Requirements:

• This assignment is open to both local and travel candidates.
• Candidates must reside at least 1 mile from the assignment location.
• Weekend shifts are required, with weekend rotation approximately every third weekend.
• Floating between Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas is required.
• No on-call requirement.
• Candidates must be available for the full 13-week assignment.
