Position Adjunct Faculty – Department of Elementary and Physical Education/Health Education Location: Kean University, Union, NJ Type: Adjunct/Part-Time Compensation Effective September 2024: $1,975 per credit. Effective September 2025: $2,100 per credit. Effective September 2026: $2,225 per credit. Beginning in the 13th semester taught, Adjuncts receive an additional $75 per credit. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate elementary education courses (e.g., Child Development, Content Areas, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, Assessment and Family-Teacher Partnerships, Professionalism). May include a clinical experience component requiring school visits. Provide at least one hour of availability outside the classroom per week for each class taught (plus 30 minutes for each additional class). Availability may be in person or virtual and scheduled based on student needs. Flexibility for morning and evening availability is preferred. Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field (or ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D., or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate). Teaching experience required unless otherwise indicated. Proficiency in a Learning Management System. Benefits All positions are non‑tenure track. Compensation is paid in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
