Job Title: AmeriCorps Horse Rider/Trainer
Organization: Ray of Life Collective
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Program Dates: September 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027
- Assist with riding instruction and horse training activities
- Help care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and daily wellness checks
- Support equine learning, therapy, and youth development activities
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming barn and riding environment
- Assist with daily equine program operations
- Develop skills in horsemanship, animal care, leadership, and community service
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Passion for horses, youth development, or community service
- Comfortable working outdoors and around horses
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must successfully complete a required background check
- Reliable transportation is a plus
$1,952.38 per month
$7,395 Education Award upon successful completion of service Members may also be eligible for professional development and leadership training, student loan forbearance/deferment on qualifying loans, childcare assistance, and health coverage.
