You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.Job ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patientsServe as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needsEducate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease managementUtilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policiesSupport effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and servicesAdhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policiesParticipate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiativesContribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence-based practice and nursing researchProvide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observersEngage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory trainingPerform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient careQualificationsA compassionate, patient-centered RN committed to delivering excellent careA nurse who is eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic clinical environmentA collaborative team member who values communication and shared successA professional who upholds the New York State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and UHS standardsA responsible, flexible caregiver dedicated to clinical excellence and continuous growthEducation & ExperienceMinimum Required:Graduate of an accredited School of NursingPreferred:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicensure & CertificationsMinimum Required:Current New York State Registered Nurse LicensePreferred:CCRN certificationAdditional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)Why You'll Love Working at UHSAt United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
