Event Set-Up & Strike Student Worker

This student worker position will work with Event Management to set-up and strike events that occur on-campus, specifically for The Gathering on Tuesday's for setup from 6 AM-8:30 AM as well as from 11:55 AM-1:15 PM for tear down. Would help to be available for both shifts! This is a manual labor job, with opportunities to work various other events on-campus as they arise. Work with the Event Set Up & Strike Coordinators to prepare Allen Arena for The Gathering by physically setting the needed furniture based on client’s needs. Work with the Event Set Up & Strike Coordinators to prepare various other event venues on-campus as other needs arise, if available/interested. Communicate effectively with Event Set-Up & Strike Coordinators regarding schedule and availability. Interpret set-up diagrams and Banquet Event Orders (BEO) with event set-up information. Ability to push, pull and lift moderate to heavy weight throughout each shift. Ability to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time. Arrive promptly to assigned shifts. Maintain a positive manner with team members, guests, and clients. May be eligible for Federal Work Study.
