This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse caseload that includes general liability, business litigation, attorney and accountant malpractice defense, and some probate matters. The firm offers a relaxed culture, strong mentorship, and the chance to work with high-profile clients.Key Responsibilities:Handle general liability, business litigation, malpractice defense, and probate casesManage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparationDraft and review pleadings, contracts, and other legal documentsCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelCollaborate with partners and support staff to ensure high-quality legal workQualifications:J.D. from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive California Bar license, in good standing3–5 years of experience in general liability, insurance defense, or business litigation (probate experience a plus)Strong legal writing, research, and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentSense of humor appreciated – the managing partner is known for his creative, lighthearted approachCompensation & Benefits:Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience)Performance bonuses – $5K per 75 billable hours over 1700Full benefits – firm covers 70% of health, dental, and visionBar dues and MCLEs coveredSimple IRA, PTO, and holidaysHybrid schedule – 4 days on-site for the first month, then flexible remote optionsSupportive, down-to-earth work environment (casual dress code – jeans and t-shirt friendly)Convenient location with great local spots nearbyInterview Process:Initial phone interview followed by on-site meeting with writing sample reviewHow to Apply:If you're interested in learning more about this opportunity, please reach out directly for a confidential conversation.
