Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Business Litigation in Anaheim Hills, CA. This role offers a trial-focused opportunity for attorneys early in their litigation careers, providing meaningful courtroom exposure and client interaction. The position involves working closely with senior attorneys on complex business disputes, including contract and partnership disputes, fraud claims, and fiduciary duty matters. Duties Support attorneys in business litigation matters from intake through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and prepare practical research summaries. Assist with case strategy, factual investigation, and evidence review. Prepare deposition outlines, exhibit binders, and trial preparation documents. Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings as appropriate. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff. Maintain accurate and timely billing entries. Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to keep matters moving efficiently. Requirements Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar. Approximately 3-6 years of business litigation experience preferred. Experience with pleadings, discovery, legal research, and motion practice preferred. Trial, arbitration, mediation, or courtroom exposure is a plus. Strong legal writing, research, organization, and communication skills required. Comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications California Bar License required. Skills Strong initiative and follow-through. Detail-oriented and organized. Ability to receive feedback and incorporate direction.
