Job Summary A Dairy Queen Shift Lead supports restaurant operations by leading the team during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining food quality and cleanliness standards. This role acts as a key point of support for the management team and helps keep shifts running smoothly. Responsibilities Lead and support team members during assigned shifts Ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and accurate service Assist with training and coaching new team members Monitor food quality, presentation, and order accuracy Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies Assign tasks and manage workflow to meet service goals Handle cash drawers, deposits, and basic shift paperwork Address guest concerns and resolve issues professionally Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and work areas Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation. Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to learn and follow company procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organizational skills. Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude. Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Education and Experience Previous quick-service or food service experience Working Environment and Physical Requirements Must be able to stand during the entire work shift. Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products. Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows. Travel Must be able to travel up to 10%.
