Accounting Manager – Law Firm
Established law firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the firm’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee client billing, collections, cash receipts, and attorney-related financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Manage trust/IOLA account reconciliations and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and year-end reporting.
- Coordinate with outside accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial partners.
- Review accounting processes and internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise and support accounting/bookkeeping staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior accounting experience within a law firm or professional-services environment strongly preferred .
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with legal billing, trust accounting, and law firm accounting systems preferred.
- Strong Excel, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial information.
