Food & Beverage Team Leader

While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts. You'll work between 9am and 5:30pm. Salary: £13.25 per hour Duration: Fixed term contract until 22-Mar-2027 Interview date: 25th or 26th June What it's like to work here The cafe at Longshaw welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, serving home-made bakes, hearty pies and local scoop ice cream to ramblers, cyclists, dog walkers, families and everyone in between. We invested in the building 5 years ago, hit our first £1m sales last year and continue to grow. We're now looking for a Team Leader to support the management team in the smooth running of the front of house. From scooping ice cream, crafting lattes or inducting new team members- it's fast paced and hard work, but with no late nights and a beautiful Peak District location, the Longshaw Estate is a lovely place to work. As a Team Leader, you’ll be giving day-to-day support to your team, to make sure they’re consistently giving great service to everyone who comes to the café. This is a busy, lively place to work, so you’ll need to be adaptable. Your focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people and serving them food and drink. Crucial to this role will be your love of working with people, your positive “can-do” attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate, and that the food is looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food. You’ll also be supervising the induction and training of colleagues, to help build a team that’s dedicated to great service and to giving people a day to remember. We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
