Minimum Qualifications License Required: Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator’s license. Out-of- State motor vehicle operator’s license will be accepted during the application process. Education: Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology with a specialization in Marriage, Family Therapy or in a major within the social/human services field or Gerontology specifically for Adult Protective Services. Experience: Three (3) years of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) complex and specialized social casework experience in a public or private human services agency equivalent to a Contra Costa County Social Worker III or the assessment of risk to children or adults and participation in Juvenile or Superior Court proceedings. Desirable Qualifications Experience as a Child Welfare Social Worker Knowledge of child abuse, mental health, substance abuse, intimate partner violence, and trauma informed practice Strong writing and communication skills All applicants must include official or unofficial college or university transcripts, or a copy of their degree. Applicants who have attended a foreign or non-U.S. accredited university or college must provide proof of education evaluation completed by a service affiliated with the National Association of Credentials Evaluation Services (NACES) with transcripts. CONVICTION HISTORY

DISASTER SERVICE WORKER
