Job Details Specialty: Behavioral Health / Psychiatry Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse - Travel Location: Holyoke, MA 01040 Start Date: September 1, 2026 End Date: December 1, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Shift Duration: 8-hour days Weekly Hours: 40 hours Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 - $2,230 Setting: Inpatient behavioral health, locked unit Job Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license at time of submission Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required Experience caring for mental health patients in a locked inpatient setting Ability to safely administer medications using Omnicell Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Handle with Care (HWC) certification preferred; may be completed on site if needed BSN preferred Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a trauma-informed approach to care Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult behavioral health patients in a secure inpatient psychiatric environment Administer medications accurately and safely while maintaining patient safety standards Monitor patient conditions, respond to changing needs, and document care in Cerner Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, rehab staff, and the broader interdisciplinary healthcare team Support patients with diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, substance use disorders, and chronic medical conditions Use compassion, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment to help promote positive patient outcomes Contribute to a respectful, team-focused environment that supports therapeutic care Apply now to explore this psychiatric nursing job in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and join a dedicated behavioral health team today.
