Position Summary The Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver is looking to hire industry professionals for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach a course per quarter in the Fall Quarter (Sept‑Nov), Winter Quarter (Jan‑Mar), and Spring Quarter (Apr‑Jun). The position includes teaching 2 sections of HOSP 2401: The Business of Hotel Operations, and 1 section of HOSP 2402: Revenue Optimization Techniques. Industry professionals are compensated at a rate of $1,290 per credit hour; each class counts for four credit hours, for a total of $5,160 per course. Essential Functions Industry professionals are required to teach twice a week, hold office hours, assign papers and exams as appropriate, and be available to assist students with assignments. The University operates on a quarter system. Required Qualifications Master's degree. Previous teaching experience. Ability to teach at the university level. Industry experience directly related to coursework. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. College-level teaching experience. Work Schedule While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. Course Rate The course rate for this position is $1,193 per credit hour taught. The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
