DESCRIPTION

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments and properly distributing incoming shipments as well as monitoring and maintaining stock as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Track and log material receiving in shop and update Bill Of Material & Accounting system with information related to material
• Work with Shop Supervisor to maintain the regular inventory items
• Maintain the Shop storage plan with Shop Supervisor
• Track and maintain company assets including but not limited to vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment
• Receive and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• May operate forklift, scissor lift, lift trucks and/or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
• Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Lift up to 40lbs
• Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
• Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
• Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 2-3 years of administrative work experience; construction industry experience preferred
• Microsoft Suite of Software and Adobe or Bluebeam
• Basic knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
