33rd Annual Chicago Underground Film Festival Volunteer Sign-Up

We are seeking people to volunteer for the following positions in our upcoming September film festival

• Networking with filmmakers and artists: CUFF hosts screenings, filmmaker Q&As, workshops, panel discussions, and social events, giving volunteers opportunities to meet independent filmmakers, producers, programmers, and other creative professionals.
• Behind-the-scenes festival experience: Volunteers are the backbone of our operation. Your help with guest services, venue operations, ticketing, hospitality, and event logistics not only provides practical experience in arts administration and event production; you will also become a vital piece to us running a successful and memorable festival experience.
• Exposure to independent and underground cinema: CUFF specializes in unconventional, experimental, and independent films that may not be shown at mainstream festivals. Volunteers get immersed in that creative environment giving you opportunities to engage and connect with creators and the wider community.
• Resume-building experience: If you're pursuing careers in film, media, nonprofit work, event management, marketing, or hospitality, volunteering for CUFF's annual film festival is a good look for your resume. (We also can give letters of recommendation to those interested if requested)
• Community and friendships: CUFF attracts people from many different walks of life. You will have the opportunity to connect and work with a diverse and welcoming community encouraging safe and true expression.
• Supporting local arts and culture: CUFF promotes independent artists and alternative cinema. Volunteering for our film festival contributes directly to keeping that cultural space active in Chicago.
