Electrical Cad Technician (Pipelines)We are seeking a motivated Electrical Cad Technician (Pipelines) to support engineering and design teams in the development of detailed electrical drawing packages for infrastructure projects. This role is instrumental in transforming engineering concepts into high-quality, constructible drawings by collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and project managers.This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-driven individual looking to build a long-term career in electrical design within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and revise 2D electrical drawings, including:One-line diagramsWiring diagramsConduit and cable routing plansGrounding plansPanel layouts and termination diagramsDevelop instrument location plans, I/O layouts, and loop diagrams for instrumentation projectsWork under the direction of engineers and designers to produce construction drawing packages aligned with client and company standardsApply and maintain adherence to established drafting standards, CAD layer controls, title blocks, and drawing conventionsIncorporate redlines and support as-built drawing updatesAssist with document control and drawing organizationParticipate in quality checks and internal drawing reviewsSupport development of plot plans, equipment layouts, and 3D markups as neededCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate drawing deliverablesContribute to CAD process improvements and drafting efficienciesPerform additional project support tasks as assignedMaintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standardsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredCoursework in drafting, CAD technology, or a related fieldMinimum of 1 year of relevant drafting or CAD experienceCandidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program will not be considered for this roleProficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software (2D experience required; must be clearly demonstrated on resume)Basic familiarity with 3D drafting tools is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to interpret engineering sketches, redlines, and markupsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Effective written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
