HEVA Dupixent Business Partner Respiratory Diseases

$178.5k - $257.83k

Sanofi

Job Title and Location Job title: HEVA Dupixent Business Partner Respiratory Diseases Location: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ About the Job Sanofi is an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people's lives and delivering compelling growth. We apply our deep understanding of the immune system to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world, with an innovative pipeline that could benefit millions more. Our team is guided by one purpose: we chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives; this inspires us to drive progress and deliver positive impact for our people and the communities we serve, by addressing the most urgent healthcare, environmental, and societal challenges of our time. Dupixent (dupilumab) represents one of the most significant advances in the treatment of Type 2 inflammatory diseases in a generation. As a first-in-class biologic targeting the IL-4/IL-13 pathway, Dupixent has transformed the standard of care for patients living with moderate-to-severe asthma and, most recently, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) — becoming the first biologic approved for COPD with a Type 2 inflammatory phenotype. Sanofi is committed to maximizing the full potential of Dupixent across the respiratory space, building a robust and differentiated evidence base that demonstrates its transformative value to patients, payers, and health systems. Through a focused and rapidly expanding body of clinical and real-world evidence, Sanofi aims to address critical gaps in care and deliver meaningful, potentially life-changing treatment options for the millions of patients living with Type 2 inflammatory respiratory conditions who continue to face significant unmet need. This role is primarily focused on Dupixent in COPD and Asthma. Depending on business need, the incumbent may also be called upon to support evidence generation activities for other assets within the respiratory or broader Sanofi portfolio. HEVA Vision, Mission, and Values We are one bold HEOR team leveraging innovative HEOR to transform patient care and access. As HEOR experts, we lead the generation and dissemination of robust, business-relevant evidence to demonstrate value and drive access to medicines. The HEVA organization is driven by five core values that define how we work and deliver impact. We operate as One Team, partnering without boundaries while pursuing a Bold Purpose through ambitious, measurable goals. Grounded in Scientific Excellence with Relevance and deep technical expertise, we embrace Innovation in Action to transform how we research and deliver Impact for People, creating meaningful outcomes for patients, the healthcare ecosystem, and our colleagues who make it all possible. This role is accountable for leading US HEOR strategy and execution for Dupixent in respiratory disease — with a primary focus on COPD and Asthma — serving as the primary US HEVA point of contact for the portfolio and partnering cross-functionally to drive the generation, translation, and dissemination of high-quality, decision-relevant evidence to support access in the United States. The role sits at the heart of one of Sanofi's most strategically significant and commercially important portfolios, requiring a combination of deep scientific expertise in respiratory disease and Type 2 inflammation, strategic thinking, and a sophisticated understanding of the US payer and market access landscape. You will work in the Dupixent Respiratory team of the Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) department. The HEVA department gathers a wealth of expertise including experts in Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Indirect Treatment Comparison & Network Meta-Analysis (ITC/NMA), Modelling, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Evidence Synthesis, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and generation of Real World Evidence (RWE). Within HEVA Dupixent Respiratory, you will join a team responsible for HEVA projects across multiple indications at various stages of development and lifecycle management. Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and Specialty Care neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs. Main Responsibilities This role operates independently with minimal supervision, working in concert with management direction in accordance with defined functional policies, budgetary guidelines, company values, ethics, and applicable law. The incumbent mentors junior team members on a case‑by‑case basis and is expected to develop and maintain peer relationships to establish HEVA as a recognized expert in HEOR. Strategic Business Impact: Develop and implement US payer‑specific HEVA strategy in close collaboration with cross‑functional team members to support the launch and lifecycle management of Dupixent in COPD and Asthma. Drive measurable business impact through execution of HEVA tactics that directly support commercial objectives and market access goals compliantly and efficiently. Execute comprehensive US HEVA tactics for the Dupixent Respiratory portfolio, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring alignment with broader portfolio objectives. Partner with commercial teams to translate HEVA insights into actionable business strategies that effectively position Dupixent within the competitive US respiratory market. Partner with access and medical team members to generate and disseminate actionable, high‑impact evidence that addresses US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration in a competitive market. Develop business‑relevant US research agendas through cross‑functional input and alignment, ensuring evidence priorities are reflected in broader Sanofi planning documents, including the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP). Set HEOR evidence generation priorities independently for assigned Dupixent Respiratory indications and translate Target Value Propositions and US market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans that address the unmet needs of payers, providers, and health systems. Support evidence generation activities for other assets within the respiratory or broader Sanofi portfolio as directed by business need. Internal Partnerships and Senior Management Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with cross‑functional teams — including commercial, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access — to ensure pricing and access decisions are aligned with the demonstrable value of Dupixent in COPD and Asthma. Align closely with the Global HEVA team to ensure US insights inform global strategies and coordinate evidence generation, modeling, and evidence synthesis activities. Communicate complex health economics concepts and strategic recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders with clarity and impact, including presentations to senior leadership. Influence key business decisions through data‑driven insights and strategic HEVA recommendations. Ensure clinical development plans for Dupixent Respiratory indications are designed to deliver true differentiation aligned to Sanofi's best‑in‑class or first‑in‑class ambition, with particular attention to US payer value demonstration. Contribute to US launch readiness planning for Dupixent Respiratory indications, serving as the HEVA subject matter expert across internal governance forums and brand team meetings. Leadership & Team Contribution Operate independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound scientific and strategic judgment in the design and prioritization of HEOR activities. Mentor junior HEVA team members on a case‑by‑case basis, sharing expertise in respiratory HEOR methods, US payer dynamics, and evidence generation best practices. Develop and maintain peer relationships across the HEVA organization and with cross‑functional partners to establish HEVA as a recognized center of excellence in Dupixent Respiratory HEOR. Anticipate communication needs across cross‑functional audiences and pre‑empt issues with timely and effective action. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HEVA processes, tools, and capabilities within the Dupixent Respiratory franchise. Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge Apply knowledge of global and US‑specific HTA processes and guidelines; experience with HTA submissions strongly preferred. Ensure all HEOR activities comply with relevant internal SOPs and external laws and regulations. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated integrity on compliance considerations and solid ethics. Stay current with evolving US payer policies, formulary management practices, and outcomes‑based contracting frameworks relevant to respiratory biologics and the COPD and Asthma treatment landscape. Digital & AI Proficiency Apply working proficiency with HEOR‑relevant digital tools and data platforms to enhance the efficiency and quality of evidence generation. Leverage digital and AI‑enabled solutions to accelerate systematic literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and economic modeling workflows. Understand the application of real‑world data analytics and advanced data platforms to respiratory outcomes research. Maintain foundational knowledge of AI and digital tools relevant to health economics, including familiarity with data analytics platforms; demonstrate willingness to develop proficiency with new AI‑enabled solutions to support HEOR research and evidence generation. Stay current with emerging digital methodologies relevant to HEOR and champion their adoption within the Dupixent Respiratory HEVA team. About You Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific discipline required 5+ years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field US product launch experience with a strong understanding of US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration in a competitive market Understanding of US healthcare system and payer dynamics, with ability to translate evidence into strategic insights Demonstrated experience applying a broad range of HEOR methods to specific research projects, including economic modeling, observational research, evidence synthesis, and COA development Proficiency in the principles of evidence-based medicine, clinical research methodology, health economic modeling, and patient‑reported outcomes Experience translating Target Value Propositions and market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans that address payer, provider, and health system unmet needs Experience supporting market access and reimbursement through HEVA evidence (e.g., value tools, evidence summaries, AMCP dossier contributions) Working knowledge of US evidence dissemination (HCEI/PIE, reactive/proactive, CFL) Established track record of scientific and/or methods publications in peer‑reviewed journals Knowledge of global HTA processes and guidelines; experience with HTA submissions preferred Strong ability to partner effectively with colleagues from non‑HEOR functional areas, including commercial, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access Compliance with all relevant internal SOPs and external laws and regulations Demonstrated understanding of respiratory disease physiopathology — including the mechanisms and clinical manifestations of COPD and Asthma — as well as the role of Type 2 inflammation and the IL‑4/IL‑13 pathway in driving disease Knowledge of biologic and targeted therapy mechanisms of action, with specific familiarity with Dupixent's mode of action and its application across respiratory indications Proficiency in health economic modeling, clinical development principles, epidemiology, biostatistics, COA development, systematic literature reviews, and network meta‑analyses Working proficiency with HEOR‑relevant digital tools and data platforms; ability to apply digital solutions to enhance research efficiency and evidence quality Familiarity with US real‑world data sources (e.g., claims databases, electronic health records) and their application to respiratory outcomes research Experienced in statistical analysis methods relevant to HEOR, including ability to critically evaluate and apply quantitative evidence to support value demonstration and payer engagement Foundational knowledge of AI and digital tools relevant to health economics, including familiarity with data analytics platforms and digital research tools Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present complex scientific and strategic content to senior management and cross‑functional audiences Entrepreneurial spirit, team orientation, and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex scientific and business problems Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry; demonstrated integrity on compliance considerations and solid ethics Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with Dupixent or other respiratory biologics strongly preferred, including familiarity with the clinical evidence base and value story for Dupixent in COPD and Asthma. Deep knowledge of the COPD and Asthma competitive landscape, including familiarity with approved and emerging biologic and non‑biologic treatment options and their payer positioning in the US market. Expertise in Type 2 inflammation biology and its relevance to patient identification, phenotyping, and value demonstration in respiratory disease. Experience supporting US payer advisory boards, formulary submissions, or outcomes‑based contracting negotiations in the respiratory or biologics space. Why Choose Us?
