Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Overview Registered Nurse – Oncology (Travel) position in Cumming, GA, US. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed hours. Weekly pay ranges from $1,602 to $1,716, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is night, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 12x3 schedule. Work setting is an acute-care inpatient unit focused on oncology within a hospital context. Note: No local candidates within 50 miles. This is a travel - temporary assignment on the inpatient oncology medical-surgical service. Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology inpatients on an acute-care med/surg unit
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and infusions, and respond to clinical changes
• Perform comprehensive assessments, manage symptoms, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure effective handoffs between shifts
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality guidelines; support discharge planning and patient education
• Complete NIHSS assessments as indicated and maintain certification per scope of practice

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification on or above required level
• Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 12-hour schedule
• Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Ability to work in an inpatient acute-care setting and meet holiday coverage requirements
