We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rollback/Heavy Wrecker Driver to operate heavy-duty wreckers and rollbacks. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, route driving, and load & unload operations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of truck driving regulations, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle specialized towing equipment such as flatbeds, tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate rollback and heavy wrecker trucks to tow or transport vehicles, equipment, or freight across designated routes.
• Perform routine inspections of trucks and towing equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate documentation of trips, loads, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during operations.
• Assist with route planning to optimize efficiency and timely deliveries or pickups.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding pickup or delivery schedules.

Required

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred

• Prior employment in professional towing or recovery (light, medium, and/or heavy).
• Experience operating a heavy wrecker
• Experience with  rollback/flatbed operation and vehicle loading.
• Knowledge of air-brake systems, air-ride suspensions, and heavy-haul securement.
• Experience responding to law-enforcement–initiated tows and accident scenes.
