Cath Lab Tech - Travel Job

Join our team as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a unit that values your skills while working in Sanford, FL. Assist physicians and Cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures. Operate advanced medical equipment to capture crucial images and data of the heart and blood vessels.


Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or RCIS certification (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist). Techs must obtain ARRT or RCIS within 3 years of hire if not already ARRT certified.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital Cath Lab setting.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience with Cath/EP lab equipment such as GE fluoroscopy systems, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, AngioJet, and Penumbra preferred.
• Experience documenting in Mac Lab and MediTech preferred.
• State licensure when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• RCIS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (preferred if not ARRT).
• Experience with advanced procedures including TAVR, Watchman, PCI, peripheral interventions, Impella, and balloon pump management.
• Prior EP lab experience with skills in circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00-16:30.
• Scheduling includes 4-10 or 5-8 hour day shifts with late stays and on-call rotation.
• Patient ratios typically 1:1 or 2:1.
• Number of procedure rooms: 2 Cath labs and 1 EP lab with holding area.
• May be required to float to holding, EP lab, or other areas within scope of practice.

Your contribution supports comprehensive diagnostic and procedural care in a hospital that provides open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and 24/7 emergency services. This role enables you to work with experienced multidisciplinary teams and advanced cardiovascular technology to improve patient outcomes.
