Machine Operator - PC

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in metal fabrication and processing, is seeking a dedicated Plate Plasma Operator to join their dynamic team. As a Plate Plasma Operator, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Plate Plasma Operator

Location: North Charleston, SC

Pay Range: $21

Shift: 6A-2:30P

What's the Job?

• Program, set up, and operate CNC Plate Plasma Machines to ensure efficient production output.
• Inspect production parts using measurement instruments to verify quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
• Deburr output materials from the plate plasma machine to prepare for subsequent processes.
• Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, and H&S teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 2 years experience in programming and setup of CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
• Proficiency in using basic measurement instruments to verify components meet specifications.
• Strong verbal communication skills and excellent time management abilities.
