Pediatric Dental AssistantWe are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, skilled in patient care, and able to create a positive and comfortable experience for both patients and families. This role primarily focuses on pediatric polishings, charting, preventive care, and chairside support while helping our clinical team keep each day running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesPediatric Patient Care & Chairside AssistanceAssist with basic pediatric dental care, including polishings, charting, and preventive proceduresPrepare treatment rooms and provide chairside support to the dentist as neededHelp children feel safe and comfortable before, during, and after their appointmentsAnticipate clinical needs and maintain an organized treatment environmentPatient & Parent CommunicationGreet and prepare children for treatment in a friendly, reassuring mannerReview medical histories and update patient recordsProvide age-appropriate oral hygiene education and communicate care instructions with parents or guardiansSterilization & Infection ControlSterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelinesOrganize and maintain dental supplies and instrumentsEnsure operatories are clean, stocked, and ready between appointmentsAdministrative Support (as needed)Assist with patient charting and treatment documentationSchedule appointments and confirm visits as neededProvide additional front-office support when neededQualificationsDental Assistant certification requiredX-ray certification as required by state regulationsPediatric dental experience preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of dental practice management softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable working with children and communicating with parents or guardiansCompassionate, patient-focused, and team-orientedAbility to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced pediatric environmentWilling to work late evenings between the hours of 7am-7pmPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand or sit for extended periods
