We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Audiologist to join our busy ENT practice. The Audiologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations, hearing aid services, counseling, and rehabilitative care for pediatric and adult patients.
General Accountabilities
- Administer hearing tests and examines patients to collect information on type and degree of impairment.
- Evaluates hearing and balance disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
- Maintains patient records at all stages, including initial and subsequent evaluation and treatment activities.
- Fits, dispenses, and repairs assistive devices, such as hearing aids.
- Plans and conducts treatment programs for patients' hearing or balance problems, consulting the necessary health care personnel as needed.
- Counsels and instructs patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss.
- Monitors patients' progress and provides ongoing observation of hearing or balance status.
- Instructs patients in communication strategies to maximize effective receptive communication.
- Recommends assistive devices according to patients' needs or nature of impairments.
- Refers patients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
- Programs and monitors cochlear implants to fit the needs of patients.
- Develops and supervises hearing screening programs.
- Examines and cleans patients' ear canals.
