Tennessee Foster Care/Licensing Program Supervisor

Overview Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Responsibilities Provide leadership, oversight, and support to Licensing and Training Specialists, ensuring recruitment, licensing, compliance, and support meet regulatory standards and organizational expectations. Oversee workflows, monitor performance and outcomes, coach and supervise staff, and ensure licensing activities are accurate, timely, and trauma‑informed. Review license status reports, conduct supervision and coaching sessions, audit foster home files for compliance, support recruitment strategy, address licensing barriers, and collaborate with program leadership and system partners. Attend operational or quality review meetings, schedule coverage, and respond to urgent licensing issues as needed. Work community‑based or hybrid, with flexibility for evenings or occasional weekends for orientations, trainings, or recruitment activities. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary: $49,000–$64,500. Full‑time benefits including health, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability, and life insurance. 401(k) match and education reimbursement. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field with required years of experience (see options below). Verified 3 years of high‑performing individual contributor experience in a related field. Leadership or management experience via project management, coordination, training, or actual leadership positions. Capacity for coachability, future growth and development as a leader.
