Assembler -1st Shift

Position: Assembler I / II / III - Manufacturing


Summary:
The Assembler is responsible for building, assembling, and testing products using components according to detailed work instructions and specifications. This role supports production goals through accuracy, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement while working as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, travelers, and specifications to assemble products accurately
• Assemble, test, and inspect parts to ensure proper fit, function, and quality standards
• Operate and set up equipment using provided instructions and procedures
• Perform basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and minor equipment adjustments
• Complete production and quality documentation (including electronic systems)
• Support preventative maintenance and keep equipment in proper working condition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following all safety rules
• Identify inefficiencies and participate in continuous improvement and LEAN activities
• Follow inventory, production rate, and quality requirements to meet daily/weekly goals
• Communicate effectively with team members and support production flow

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read work instructions and perform basic math and measurements
• Basic understanding of tools, production equipment, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to learn new tasks through repetition and follow standardized procedures

Assembler Levels Overview:

• Assembler I: Entry-level assembly, follows instructions, learns processes, basic testing and setup
• Assembler II: More independent, assists in training others, supports process improvements, stronger problem-solving
• Assembler III: Advanced knowledge of assembly processes, cross-trained across lines, able to support or step into lead responsibilities as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion throughout shift
• Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs; occasional lifting up to 45 lbs
• Use of hands/tools for assembly and material handling
• Ability to work in a production environment with moderate noise levels
