RN - Birthing Center Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in birthing center care to join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing support throughout prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring a safe and positive experience for mothers and their newborns.

• Deliver thorough nursing care to expectant mothers during all stages of childbirth.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart tones to maintain maternal and newborn well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum processes to encourage informed choices.
• Assist with deliveries, offering both emotional and physical support to mothers.
• Administer medications and treatments following safety protocols.
• Accurately document patient care and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Recognize abnormal labor conditions promptly and take appropriate action according to departmental guidelines.
• Perform vaginal exams, notify physicians at delivery time, and interpret fetal monitor tracings effectively.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the relevant state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per American Heart Association standards.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within one year of hire.

• Completion of birthing center orientation under supervision, including vaginal labor/delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Mandatory Reporter course completion at hire or within six months.
• Adherence to all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
• Commitment to compliance with organizational policies, including Code of Conduct and compliance programs.
