Lead Generation & Member Retention Specialist

This role supports APQC’s mission by identifying and engaging potential participants in research initiatives and strengthening relationships with current members. The Lead Generation & Member Retention Specialist focuses on expanding APQC’s network, increasing participation in key programs, and supporting member engagement and renewal efforts. Working in collaboration with Member Success Managers, research teams, and marketing, this role helps connect organizations with relevant APQC offerings and ensures consistent, high-quality engagement across the member lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Identify and engage potential participants for APQC research initiatives, Voice of the Member activities, and membership discussions Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, and virtual channels to connect with key stakeholders across organizations Expand and maintain accurate contact networks within member and prospective member organizations Support Member Success Managers in driving member renewals and ongoing engagement, including first-year renewal efforts Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute outreach campaigns aligned with research and membership priorities Coordinate and schedule Voice of the Member discussions with research leads and participants Analyze and support reporting on member engagement and usage to inform outreach strategies Assist in maintaining internal dashboards and tracking tools to support engagement efforts Respond to member and prospective member inquiries in a timely, professional manner Conduct organizational research to identify opportunities for deeper engagement within member companies Performance Expectations Support pipeline development by meeting monthly outreach and engagement activity targets (calls, emails, and scheduled conversations) Contribute to monthly growth in the number of engaged contacts within member and prospective member organizations Achieve monthly and annual participation goals for research initiatives and Voice of the Member activities Support renewal efforts by contributing to monthly and annual member retention targets Maintain accurate tracking of outreach efforts and engagement outcomes within internal systems It plays a critical role in ensuring members are actively connected to APQC’s resources and derive value from their involvement. Qualifications & Experience 3+ year of experience in a client-facing, outreach, engagement, or business development role Strong communication skills, including the ability to build rapport across phone, email, and virtual channels Experience conducting outreach and initiating conversations with new and existing contacts Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet engagement or participation goals Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Basic understanding of business functions (e.g., HR, Finance, Supply Chain) preferred Experience working with CRM or database systems preferred Core Competencies Relationship Building & Stakeholder Engagement Communication (Written, Verbal, and Active Listening) Organizational and Time Management Skills #J-18808-Ljbffr APQC
