Job Duties Grind and deburr metal parts and components to remove sharp edges, burrs, excess material, and imperfections. Use electric and pneumatic grinding tools to finish components according to specifications. Inspect parts for proper finish, dimensions, and overall quality. Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and production specifications. Use hand tools and measuring equipment as required. Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet quality requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures and required PPE when operating grinding equipment. Identify and report defective or out-of-specification parts to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain consistent production while meeting quality and safety standards. Perform other manufacturing and production duties as assigned. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial. Experience Requirements Experience with grinding/deburring metal components. Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, or other metal materials. Experience using calipers or other basic measuring tools. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. Knowledge and hands-on experience using electric and pneumatic grinding tools. Ability to safely operate grinders and other hand/power tools. Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic drawings. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand/tool work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing, grinding, deburring, or metal finishing experience preferred. Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Grinder Deburr Operator. Previous experience in aerospace, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing is a plus. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
