Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, ideally in a surgical or cardiovascular setting. Travelers should be available to work all holidays that do not fall within requested time off. The unit involves rotating weekend coverage, typically one call day each week, and one weekend call every 5-6 weeks. Floating within the facility may be required based on scope of practice. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services and interpretation services. It is essential for candidates to comply with all requirements to start on time. Travelers can expect involvement in various cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG and valve replacements. Candidates with experience in trauma and LTAC settings are preferred but are not required. The overall work environment promotes a collaborative approach to patient care.
