Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Location: Bryson City, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00, Weekend rotation required.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our 17-bed Progressive Care unit. This unit provides inpatient, observation, and swing bed services, emphasizing teamwork and comprehensive patient care in a critical access hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care and coordinating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform PICC/CVC management and wound care duties.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including PT/OT/Speech and RT.
• Ensure effective communication with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
• Adhere to established protocols and best practices for patient safety and care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med-Surg or Progressive Care setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
