Job Summary

Clark Testing is seeking a Human Resources Associate for our corporate office located in Jefferson Hills, PA. This is an entry level HR position we’re looking to fill with an individual who is ready to learn and develop into a leader of the company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a role that offers variety in their workday, and requires flexibility, effective communication skills, and attention to detail. The HR Associate reports to the VP of Human Resources assisting with payroll, benefits, and talent acquisition including new employee onboarding & orientation.

Primary Duties

• Support day-to-day HR operations across all four of Clark Testing’s U.S. locations.
• Field employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Coordinate talent acquisition process including job postings, phone screenings, and interviews while serving as the communication liaison between hiring managers and candidates.
• Join representatives from other departments such as Safety, Quality, and IT to deliver an exceptional orientation and Day 1 experience for new employees.
• New hire onboarding, which includes ensuring completion of Form I-9, tax forms, and other new employee documents.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HRIS data that is organized and ready to support compliance audits.
• Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, offboarding, etc.
• Assist with processing payroll, benefits administration, and handling leave-of-absence cases.
• Promote positive employee relations and support the VP of HR with investigations when such matters arise.
• Plan, schedule, communicate, and execute employee programs such as open enrollment for employee benefits, and special events i.e., company outings, holiday parties, and seasonal initiatives.
• Perform other duties and tasks as needed and required by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in Human Resources is not required but is preferred.
• 1 to 2 years’ working in a corporate office environment is not required but is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to maintain confidentiality are a must.
• Courteous and friendly communications skills are essential for success in this role.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others but also perform tasks on one’s own.
• Eager to accept constructive feedback from company leaders, teammates, and customers (internal and external) to accomplish necessary outcomes and develop in role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including email, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Able to work primarily Monday through Friday, daylight schedule, but willing to stay late, come in early, and respond to an occasional call outside business hours when needed.
• Able to lift, carry, move, and transport objects of up to 40 lbs.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to manage daily commute to the office.
• Must be able to pass drug screening and background checks.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
