EHR Support Analyst II

Job Summary An EHR Support Analyst II serves as a key onsite clinical IT resource for facility implementation and support of a broad set of clinical applications. The role leads and facilitates the facility’s core clinical systems team on clinical IT activities, provides second‑level subject‑matter expert support, leads new module/application testing and implementation, and facilitates maintenance of facility‑specific dictionaries and training. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate the facility’s core clinical systems team on clinical IT activities. Provide second‑level support as a broad clinical subject‑matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests received from the division Service Desk or other service resources. Provide status updates on user issues. Manage resolution of clinical application incidents and requests in cooperation with enterprise and division subject‑matter experts and the enterprise Service Desk. Serve as project leader for facility‑based implementations of clinical applications, software releases, and new products. Provide on‑call assistance as needed. Lead, monitor, and facilitate new module/application testing and implementation for the facility. Facilitate and manage maintenance of facility‑specific dictionaries. Customize base division policies, procedures, training, and best practices for use within the facility. Develop training materials and deliver hands‑on training to core team members. Promote and support division standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization plans for a broad set of clinical applications. Coordinate facility clinical application reporting requests, define report requirements, and validate results. Develop clinical application reports as needed. Perform quality audits and track metrics related to clinical application use. Participate in meetings as a member of facility clinical leadership. Promote system security and patient confidentiality and ensure compliance. Coordinate the execution and use of tools for audits. Build strong relationships at the facility with nurses, physicians, core team members, and leadership. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of clinical operations and processes. Knowledge of accreditation guidelines such as JCAHO, MQSA, HIPAA, and ACR. Ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with clinical and IT personnel. Customer‑orientation mindset. Excellent leadership and teaching abilities. Advanced computer skills. Understanding of reporting tools’ functionality and capabilities. Willingness to travel to assigned sites to complete work. Preferred Proficiency in various programming and clinical application reporting tools. Customer service orientation and/or training experience. Professional certification or licensing within a specific clinical specialty. State driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if applicable). Occasional or intermittent travel availability. Education Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience One to three years of experience in clinical application support or related clinical work. Certifications / Licenses Licensing or credentials within a specific clinical specialty preferred. Specialty clinical licensure is strongly desired. Travel Occasional/intermittent travel required.
