Equipment Operator

Equipment OperatorSelect's Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, road grader, and excavators, as well as preventive and routine maintenance of equipment. This position communicates with the Operational Manager about daily assignments and provides oversight and technical expertise with equipment operations.The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Ability to work with minimal supervision, performing all duties required to develop short and long site plans.Ability to read slopes and grades preferred.Constantly evaluate site for compliance and safety issues.Perform tasks as directed by Operational Manager.Conduct basic maintenance on equipment.Conducting periodic inspections.Reviewing daily pre and post-trip reports.Correcting identified deficiencies.Scheduling and oversight of major repairs.Maintaining shop and field maintenance equipment including periodic calibration where required.Identifying and maintaining an inventory of high-use, common maintenance items.Other duties may be assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
