Independent Living - Life Skills Coach Location: Cupertino, Saratoga, and West San Jose areas. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Full-time, Monday-Friday 9am-7pm. Compensation: $22 per hour. Day shift. Benefits: company-sponsored medical insurance, $25k life insurance, vacation time, sick time, holiday pay at 1.5x, mileage reimbursement. Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Responsibilities Coach clients on building independent living skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, hygiene). Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Plan, create, and organize weekly goals and schedules for clients. Document progress through case notes and quarterly reports. Spend approximately 90% of time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation. Collaborate with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff. Qualifications Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Ability to work and commute within the Cupertino, Saratoga, and East San Jose area. Pass a background check per state industry standards. Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry. Desired Qualities Heart for helping others and treating people with dignity and respect. Strong communicator, dependable, and creative problem-solver. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to different client needs. Comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings with clients. Experience in behavioral health (preferred, not required).
