You are available, reliable, and excited to grow with this family over time.Key ResponsibilitiesFamily Support & Child AssistanceBe present when children arrive home from school in the afternoon; manage the full afternoon routine through 5:30 PMOccasional pickups (approximately 15-20 minutes each way)Manage activity-related pickups as neededHave healthy snacks ready and waiting when children arrive homePrep activity bags and organize clothing and gear for after-school activitiesUnpack backpacks and organize shoes, school items, and drop zone dailyHandle kid-related errands including library trips for book pickups and returnsProvide light supervision and back-up childcare as neededTrack school calendar, early release days, no-school days, and extracurricular schedules to ensure seamless coverageHousehold Organization & MaintenanceCreate and maintain household organization systems for all areas of the homePerform daily resets and prepare the home ahead of weekly cleanersLight tidying throughout the day: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areasManage seasonal swaps for clothing, décor, and beddingLead holiday and event prep, with a particular emphasis on Christmas and seasonal decoratingIndoor plant careGeneral household upkeep as noticed (light bulbs, batteries, smoke detectors)Inventory & ErrandsManage running household supply lists and restock pantry, fridge, and household suppliesOccasional returns, dry cleaning coordination, and gift shopping as neededMeal SupportPrepare healthy snacks for children daily — this is a top priorityCook or prep approximately 2-3 ready-to-heat meals per week for the family (batch cooking, crock pot meals, and prep work all welcome)Grocery shopping, including reading the family's preferences and keeping the home well stockedFollow kid-friendly dietary preferencesLeave the kitchen clean and tidy after every cooking sessionLaundry & LinensWash, fold, organize, and put away laundry for the householdCoordinate linen rotation and ensure sheets are staged and ready ahead of weekly cleanersMaintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areasDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsRefresh drop zones including garage, mudroom, and entryway dailyLead organizational projects for toys, gear, closets, and pantriesManage toy and book rotationOccasional deep cleaning tasks as needed (fridge, oven, baseboards)Vehicle UpkeepKeep family vehicles clean and organizedSchedule maintenance appointments when neededFueling vehicles as needed; coordinate outsourced services where appropriateAdministrative & Personal Assistant SupportCoordinate with household vendors and contractors; research and obtain quotes for repairs and projectsCalendar management (including household schedules) for the childrenHow to ApplyPlease submit a short intro letter telling us a little about yourself and why this role is a great fit, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information.
