Catering Associate

The Catering Associate is responsible for patient food service on assigned units (menu selections, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests and in-between meal food delivery. Education High School Diploma - Preferred Experience 1 - 2 Years Foodservice, customer service - Preferred License & Certification None Required Core Job Functions Refers patient questions or concerns to the clinical dietitian as appropriate. Collaborates with dietitian to provide nutrition care as requested. Obtains information regarding new admissions, transfers and discharges and diet changes. Provides late trays, special requests as needed. Communicates any patient issues to nurse or managers. Obtains meal selections from patients, offering menu alternatives as permitted on diet, considering food allergies/intolerances, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences. Delivers meals and nourishments, rounds after meals, and retrieves trays from rooms. Completes weekly food service patient satisfaction surveys on assigned unit.
